Roel Vandermeeren: Exploration lies at the heart of Roel Vandermeeren's artistic practice. His studio is not simply a place where a fixed idea takes shape, but an experimental space where observing, questioning, being influenced and beginning again are all part of the process. Everyday impressions, encounters and previous explorations continuously find their way into his work. His work evolves, shifts and takes on new meaning through an ongoing interaction with his surroundings.
