From 28 November 2026 to 3 January 2027, Schierke is transformed into a festively illuminated village of lights every Friday and Saturday as well as on the Christmas holidays. Historic buildings, the Mäuseklippen, the toboggan run and more than 30 other houses and objects are illuminated festively and colourfully. The village shines in an atmospheric glow and invites you to wintry evening walks. Accompanying this, changing gastronomic offerings and small events – from the opening of the Christmas nativity scene to a 90-minute live TV broadcast by Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk to concerts and a Christmas market – create a warm Advent atmosphere.
