About the market
Otterndorfer Sternenmarkt A pre-Christmas atmosphere in a historic setting awaits you again on the 3rd Advent weekend, from 12 to 14 December 2025, at the 17th Otterndorfer Sternenmarkt on the Kirchplatz. The historic old town will once again shine in a Christmas glow of lights, and the scent of gingerbread and fir needles will fill the air. Children and adults can marvel at the festively decorated Sternenmarkt on Friday from 15:00 – 22:00, on Saturday from 14:00 to 22:00 and on Sunday from 12:00 – 20:00. A wide variety of things will again be offered in many small Christmas market huts. For the little ones there is a carousel, and of course Father Christmas will also drop by the Otterndorfer Sternenmarkt. For adults, in addition to the chance to browse in the small, lovingly designed Sternenmarkt huts, Christmas singing performances by regional choirs and clubs are also offered. And in culinary terms, too, no wishes are left unfulfilled. Let yourself be fascinated by the magic of the Christmas season and visit a Christmas market of a very special kind – the Otterndorfer Sternenmarkt! Please note that the Kirchplatz will be closed to road traffic. Please follow the signposted diversions.
