About the market
Advent as it is at home in the Black Forest The Ottenhöfen Christmas market invites you on 12 and 13 December to a special Advent experience When the scent of fir greenery and freshly baked treats blends with the sound of Christmas music, a warm sea of lights bathes the Kurpark in a gentle glow and warm encounters accompany Advent, then it is Christmas market time in the mill village of Ottenhöfen. On 12 and 13 December 2026 the Kurpark is once again transformed into a lovingly designed Christmas village that welcomes its visitors with genuine Black Forest hospitality, living traditions and an atmosphere that makes the magic of the Christmas season tangible in a very special way. With its unmistakable character, the Ottenhöfen Christmas market invites you to experience Advent as it has been lived in the Black Forest for generations – shaped by clubs, traditional crafts and a warmth that makes up the special magic of this Christmas village. It is precisely this lived warmth that has for many years made the Christmas market a place where not only a festive mood arises, but a real Christmas feeling. The special concept has proved its worth over many years and delights numerous visitors from the whole region year after year. Thus the Ottenhöfen Christmas market has long since earned an outstanding reputation as an atmospheric Advent destination and nevertheless is still regarded by many as a real insider tip. Here the focus is not on spectacle, but on what makes the Advent season: community, warmth and the small moments that stay in the memory for a long time. It is not professional organisers, but the people of Ottenhöfen themselves who shape the Christmas market year after year with great voluntary commitment. Under the leadership of the Trachten- und Volkstanzgruppe Ottenhöfen, numerous local clubs together create a place of encounter where tradition is lived and visitors are warmly welcome.
