About the market
Bartenwetzer Weihnachtsmarkt From 27 November to 23 December, Melsungen's town centre is transformed into a particularly atmospheric setting of festive lights and colour. Festive sounds and tempting aromas invite the whole family, with friends and colleagues, to the Melsunger Weihnachtsmarkt, which gets visitors in the mood for Advent and, over a tasty glass of Glühwein, encourages them to look back on the loveliest moments of 2026. In the historic old town, more than 300 fir trees create a festive atmosphere. There is plenty to discover for young and old: whether carousel or crafts, punch or Glühwein, gifts for yourself or for others – no wish is left unfulfilled! A music programme at the weekend creates a Christmassy mood. Further information and the exact programme will be announced. Organiser: Stadt Melsungen
